May be the timing of the rut if the bucks already have a set of does rounded up and breeding/lockdown is in progress, at least in those areas where rut started early... Hamilton county, we saw deer moving Saturday, and some out feeding early Sunday morning, and when the wind picked up saw some does bedded on the lee side of one of our fencerows...
About nailed an 8 pt with my pickup Saturday evening coming home, jumped a fencerow right in front of me, then bounded again as I slammed the brakes, or I'd of had him... he was either chasing a doe or got spooked by a bigger buck...
BW - tell your local ICO about the cologne thing... our ICO stopped by my farm Sunday afternoon to chat for a bit and see how things were going and he mentioned making a case against one of our area PETA-types for placing ivory soap shavings around a guy's stand... it is considered hunter harrassment!

IMO that's a better use for IR game cameras... Monitoring your stand.

I guess I should feel lucky they didn't just steal it.. Anywho I believe " What goes around comes around " and I am sure they will be getting theirs.
