After taking Deer number four this season with a Bow,my gun season ended today. While field dressing a very nice Doe this AM,I Cut my left thumb very badly.Doc says I cut the tendon into.
Stiched it up ,but Surgery Monday to reattach the Tendon.Bummer!
Well boys and girls be careful out there,Bad Stuff can happen when you least expect it.

Ouch!
I've cut myself slightly while butchering, but never that bad. Good luck with it!

I see one very stiff thumb in someones future. Sorry to hear about that. Fed my left thumb to a table saw 2-3 years ago, does not work like it used to. Nerve damage, wont bend correctly.

I cut the daylights out of my thumb field dressing a buck last year, not as bad as yours though. It is not fun...especially having to finish the job and try to keep your own cut clean...I got back to the camper and flushed the cut with bleach water and thankfully, I didn't get an infection, but it had me worried.
Good luck to you.
