Have you seen a Boone & Crockett qualifying buck in the wild?
If so, where?
Not the specific location just a county will do..

ONE!
I have been deer hunting for a little over 20 years. I have hunted in Brown, Lawrence, Owen, Washington along with several other counties.
about 10 years ago I had one B&C buck that I seen twice in the same season.
The reason I am sure it was a B&C is because on opening day of gun season that year, the guy who owns neighboring property crossed over onto our land and killed it.
At the time the fella was not a member of our club, he is now however.

2 in Gibson. 1 in Spencer. 1 in Knox.
It takes a very, very special animal to net 170" ..... assuming we are talking about "All Time" and not "Awards".

I saw one in Adams County in 1991. It was winter and we could see this big bodied deer from a looong ways away while driving. We stopped the truck and watched him feed about 400 yards away. His rack was huge! Well past his ears, and tall. My deer hunting buddy that was with me and I estimated him thru binocs to be 180ish. My buddy was practically drooling! The deer fed his way into the back of a woods I had hunted that fall. Never saw him again, or heard of him getting whacked.

Yes......Illinois and Western Indiana has several. Kentucky does too. Seeing them on the ground is proofin the pudding........lots of people see them on hoof, few see them ready for the rule.

Saw two the same day in Iowa in November, 1998. Both definite B&C animals. First day bowhunting that particular farm. Talk about high expectaions!
Saw a buck in Muscatatuk Wildlife Refuge years ago that would have pushed the tape.

Dunno... never looked for one. I'm interested in body mass. I'll shoot a big bodied spike over a small bodied 6x6...

1 for sure in Jennigs 2 years ago. Had this deer in my scope watching him on the neighbors property walking my way with a doe and watched the neighbor shoot this deer. Saw 1 in Jackson 6-7 years ago that I'm pretty sure he was close to a booner

I saw several the year that Muscatatuk opened hunting. I walked up within 20 yards of one and he just looked at me. That was prior to any hunting. I haven't seen one since.

One around 200" buck in Owen, another that would probably stretch at Fort Ben. Both while hunting.

While scouting Versailles State Park I had a 12 pointer walk within 20 yards of me. A lucky hunter killed him the 1st day. He later scored 174".
A couple of buddies and I where hunting in Illinois 2 years ago and we saw a 8 pointer 4 days in a row in a CRP field. All 3 of us believe he would score over 170".

I'm pretty sure I saw the buck that ramjam posted pictures of a while back that he shot. I knew when I (very briefly) saw it that it was a Booner. Never saw one that big before then, haven't seen one that big since.

Owen County.
Saw one a hunter killed off the neighbors land that went 174"....hunter told me another was with the one he killed, just as big if not bigger, they were both bedded down with a hot doe during muzzleloader season...
