Guys, This season has been a bust from my March Florida hunt to today. I missed two opportunities in Florida (borrowed gun, never again) and one on opening day here. My hunting partner wanted to come home at noon on opening day so we packed up and left against my will. Up north here I don't have turkeys on my 127 acres and have to rely on the draw hunts which i wasn't successful this year and I have no private ground to hunt. Here my question, would one of you guys down south put me on some turkeys on public ground or let me kill one on your private ground if you have extras and have tag out? I didn't get a bird last year and sure hate not to this year. Hux was gracious enough to give me directions to the areas he hunts and I might take him up on it but I'm looking for some real good advice or generosity on locations. Could someone help an old man out? Thanks, h.h.

HH,
I would, but I've already got a friend that is bowhunting our little piece of ground. We've been fortunate enough to kill 4 birds off of it and I'm sure there are one or two more around. If he tags out you can move in there.
We have a couple blinds set up on a small food plot that is right next to some roosting pines. The property has stripper pit spoil banks on two sides of it.. More roosting areas. It is an all day blind as we have trail camera pictures of them on the food plot at any time of the day.
Everything aorund us is posted, with not a whole lot of turkey hunting going on.
About a mile and half north of us is Sugar Ridge Area 5. It has a fair amount of birds on it, but I am not sure how hard it has been hit by hunters. That could be worth checking out, but that is a drive for you.
I'll get up early Monday and drive to Area 5 and see what I can hear or see..
I'll let you know..

PM me. I have some an area in St Joseph CO we can hunt. There were 3 - 4 gobblers today. The past 3 days they were all in shotgun range but I had my bow. After tomorrow I have no problem "guiding" you over there if you wanna make the drive.

I want to thank you guys for the fine offers to hunt on your properties. You truly are fine gentlemen. Let me mull it over tonight and see what will be the best for my situation. I really appreciate the offers. Thanks, h.h.
