$190 ...OUCH!!
Of course that is for two birds....and the license is good all year.
NR deer tags will now only be $60. Same with fall turkeys..
Bird for bird and deer for deer a KY NR tags are a better deal than Indiana NR tags..

Like you said, now you just have to buy the deer tags - already have the general license in your pocket.

Well, we heard three this morning and saw 8. Only one jake and one long beard. The long beard stuck his head out into the field gobbled a few times and went back in.
He couldn't see mine or Woodmaster's decoys.
Thunder boomers forcasted for Sunday moring.. we will sit it out..

They were as henned up as I've ever seen opening weekend down there. Some of the guys I know that live there would not hunt. Did get my buddy his first Ky bird, hardest I've ever worked for one.

They were as henned up as I've ever seen opening weekend down there. Some of the guys I know that live there would not hunt. Did get my buddy his first Ky bird, hardest I've ever worked for one. Opening morning we had a gobbler gobbling his fool head off. We were set up on a field and he was off the field in the woods on the east side of the field. We were set up on the north and south side - naturally. 4 hens came out in the fioeld and headed his way as fast as their drumsticks could carry them. No doubt he was "henned up". I hunted this am close to where he was... nary a peeep from him. I heard one in the woods to the south and he only gobbled a half dozen times and shut down. Saw zilch.. Back to Indiana tomorrow.

Sounds very similar to what I experienced south of Elizabethtown, KY over the weekend. Had several hens in bow range, but did not even see a gobbler. Heard three or four on the roost, but only had one bird talking much throughout the day.
All the blowdowns from the big ice storm a couple months ago made moving quietly through the woods impossible. I think that gobbler knew it!
Only had one day available to hunt this week. Sitting out the opener as we speak. They are calling for 25mph winds today and Friday.....so I'm taking off tomorrow. My decision, but it is just now starting to break light on the horizon.....and it really sucks to be here!

I tagged out in KY, one Sunday, one Monday. I had pretty much no hen activity. Saw HUGE packs of Jakes and Longbeards. Didn't seem interested in hen calls, but the B-Mobile with a ratty looking jake fan did the trick both times. Found quite a few muchrooms as a bonus!
