Once again Dean & Todd at American Taxidermy in Boonville did a great job.

That is a beauty...
The remaining velvet on the rack tops it off.

I keep saying I'm going to shoot a "Decent" early-season deer just so I can have one of those slick coats on the wall!!! Great looking mount.

I keep saying I'm going to shoot a "Decent" early-season deer just so I can have one of those slick coats on the wall!!! Great looking mount. Thanks everyone. I killed him on November 14th. He survived EHD that's why he still had some velvet on his antlers. His hooves where split and his coat was real soft.

Very nice Woodmaster! I wonder how they treat the velvet to preserve it?

Very nice Woodmaster! I wonder how they treat the velvet to preserve it? It's already dry so they don't have to preserve it. Any velvet racks they get in they freeze dry it.

I've kicked around the idea of doing a doe mount before. Are you glad you did it?
