I am wanting to plant some sunflower seeds, where can I get some?

Your local Hardware store or Co-op. They usually handle seeds for planting.

If you're nearby the Iriquois River Chapter of Pheasants Forever has excess sorghum seed available. Not sure if they are charging but if so it would be minimal.

i buy the black oil sunflower seeds [birdseed] found in just about any grocery or any store that sells birdfeed. cheap too, compared to little packets. most people don't realize they will grow. i use them in my food plots.

go to your nrcs office inyour countys usda complex down here switz. and jefferson countys are both giving away seed

go to your nrcs office inyour countys usda complex down here switz. and jefferson countys are both giving away seed are these provided by the county or state [DNR] ? i called last fall to our county[spencer]extention office and also SUGAR RIDGE [DNR PROPERTY] and they both said they don't give out the seed anymore. thanks

I think they are given to the nrcs by the dnr... jefferson co has plenty to give away got some sun flower seed wed.
