If you can get your hands on a Mossberg 695, grab it. It will be a used gun as they are nolonger made. They were discontinued about 3-4 years ago. It is a fully rifled bolt action gun. New I bought mine for less thatn 250. Synthetick stock. I can say that I've never shot better with any other slug gun. It is tough, accurate, and very affordable. I think Mossberg has come out with a new pump action gun to replace it, but the mossberg slug gun is a great buy for a great gun. A friend who is in a different tax bracket than I'll ever know bought two when he found out the gun was discontinued. He can afford any gun he wants, and swears by the 695. sabot rounds only for the rifled barrel

I,m sure all new slug guns are good especially the rifled ones. The most important thing too do is try multiple slugs to find the ones your gun shoots well. Been my experience that if you can get a 3" group at 100 yrds off a rest you have a tack driver. Even new sabots are no match to a rifle. Saying all that I own and love my Beretta Pintail slug gun with the Remington Ultra core lokts.
