Bird dog trainer in Ft. Wayne area

You might try some shooting preserves. I think Eldred King Farms near Parker is still in business. The state is putting the heat on gamebird breeders as well now. If you can't get the birds these businesses will be gone.

It's sad that the wild upland bird hunting is as in a poor a shape as it is,


The state really could care less about small game and bird hunting.
The sporting dog people, houndsmen, pointing dog folk, field trialers, have all been given the shaft by the IDNR.

As you can see it's very hard to even find a trainer in Indiana. They even run the Indiana Shooting Dog Championship in KY, the All-American Quail Championship in IL, the International Brittnay Championship elswhere and the Regional Amateur Championships out of state.

Indiana used to host dozens of field trials here and a number of nationally prominent trainers called Indiana home. Some of the top kennels in the country were here. No more.

I guess we could all call turkeys and sit in a tree stand for excitment, or even buy an bass boat. Hell, we could high-five the tv screen with the bubbas when they kill something.

Ain't the sporting life grand in this state?
