Nice pictures. With the new job and moving I have not been able to get the camera out much. My new place will give me plenty of opportunity to get some good photos though. I've already been plotting my setup.

OK turkeyscout, finally got to spend a day fishin, took the cam with me and here are some of the things I caught. Came around a corner and noticed this rather large nest out away from the bank... Hmm, lets get a closer look... Looks like an Osprey, cool! These two were busy tidying up and adding to the nest, maybe they are making room for some new additions... While I am snapping pics of thre Ospreys I noticed some movement at the edge of the woods just left of the Ospreys... Yep a few Hen Turkeys and rather close. I am surprised they are tolerating my presence then I realize they were on a mission, kinda like the chicken crossing the road only their road was the lake and away they went (sorry but at this size they are somewhat hard to make out, one center of the pic and just above the shoreline in the distant background. Two others at a slightly lower elevation and on the right of the pic) A couple of hours later in a different location we got to watch an Eagle, or maybe the Eagle was watching us? Have to love the springtime!!

Turkey Scout: What is the last bird? I know I should know it but it slips my mind right now.
Nice photos Huntmeister. How was the fishing?

dadfsr / duff,
not top secret, Patoka reservoir and the fishin was slow for me, just one 3-1/2 lb bass for my day. Corp of Engineers report said about 3 feet low but I bet after yesterday's rains it is getting closer to normal.
It was a beautiful day and I got some neat pics!

UMM Turkey Scout... I'm not so sure that's a whooping crane I THINK whooping cranes are white w/ a scarlet head. I could be wrong because my birding skills are at a novice's rate right now but all the pics I see of whooping cranes are white. If I'm wrong please educate me.
