We had an outstanding evening hunt last night on HoosierCanuck's honey-hole. The geese turned on an hour before sunset and we wacked and stacked. I had my 5 bird limit and then took pics of the geese as Dan finished up. We ended a bird shy of the limit, but the hunt was an excellent one regardless! On the way out we were met by a couple men in green. Kudos to the two officers who made sure we were doing it the right way. They were very professional, and it was actually a pleasure getting checked. Today was a nice way to end the '08-'09 season for me. It was tough for ducks, but I more than made up for it in the goose department. I'll take a ton of great memories from this season....but of course we'll all remember that this was the season that we lost our friend Art. To everyone I've shared a field with this season, thank you for the invites and companionship! It's amazing how fast the season goes by...and even though I hunted with a ton of guys, I always wish I could have made it out with a few more. We'll get 'em next year! Congrats all on a great waterfowl season! My limit of birds: Myself, Canuck and his boys:
