Finally made it out to set up my new blind that my wife ordered me for Valentines day... I've been wanting one of these for awhile. It came highly recommended from a friend on Tradgang. Time to take it out of the box, and into the back yard...

Now let me start by saying, I have never used any kind of pop up blind. So I wasnt too sure how complicated set up might be.... After a total of about 30 seconds, this is what I had... for ease of setup, this gets an 11 All four side are set up the same as far as windows. and each side has a camera porthole as well. Each window is zippered AND has a zip open shoot thru screen. The blind has a 70"X70" footprint, 90" across at the hubs and 80" tall. I can stand inside, with my hat on and still have a little room above my head.

I got the Evader model for Christmas and my brother and I both sat inside for 6 hours in lawn chairs on opening morning in the pouring rain. Had a bad experience with the zippers on mine. A nice buck came in behind us and we only had the window open part ways where we could see. I tried to slowly zip it down and it was so loud that he blew and took off like a bat out of you know where. Overall a great product though. Camo pattern works best for autumn instead of spring but I'm going to try it this spring anyways.

Natchez shooting supply has some Doghouse blinds for 49.00 each. I bought 4 last year at this price and during turkey season put them out on the property and then if I need I can move to another blind with out have to take down the one I am in. They are very easy to sit up and take down.

Trapperdave, If I were you I'd mix up a bunch of mud and water in a 5 gal bucket and pour, throw, or brush it on that blind, then I'd let it dry for a couple of days and then knock it all off. Goose hunters do this to their layout blinds to take the sheen off so ducks and geese won't get scared off by the glare of a new blind, I think you'd do your self some good doing the same thing. JMHO
