Sir; I have a T/C Contender in .357 Herrett caliber. Currently the cases are 1.70" long. Too long to be legal to hunt with. But I am going to cut the cases down to 1.624" to meet the maximum limit allowed by regulations for a pistol cartridge. In essence it would now be a .357 Herrett Short cartridge. Some have told me that my efforts are in vain. But I believe I will have complied with the regulations as stated. What is your opinion on my wildcat round for deer hunting in Indiana?

Sounds likes it will be within the limits set forth by the regs.
