My brother-in-law and I decided last week to do some late season Canada goose hunting, so we did a little research, drove down to Bass Pro in Clarksville on Friday, patterned our guns on Saturday and went goose hunting on Sunday. We didn't get there until about 9:30 or 10 (didn't want to upset the pregnant tenant). We were setup about 10 minutes when a flock flew overhead and I shot this guy: Yep, I downed the first goose I shot at; however, we were out for probably about three hours and it was the only one we got. A lot of rounds were expended, feathers flew on a few, but we were unable to put any others down. It was a humbling learning experience... On a side note, what is up with the crazy check-in schedules and then the 'survey' you're suppose to fill out at the end of the season that asks how many geese you killed that you didn't check-in?

Congrats!
As for the odd survey question, I haven't researched the federal acceptance criteria for this temporary season becoming a permanent season much, so I don't have a definitive answer for you; however, in the past 10 years or so, there has been a big push within the scientific community for reporting error with any data set. My fear is that the feds have a formula for calculating error based on data received from this odd question which could render our 3 year temporary season data set invalid, hope I'm just paranoid and over analyzing.
