Since nobody is posting about rabbit hunting, I thought I would mention that my friends and I have been running tons of them this year! We have been having a blast with our traditional blackpowder fowlers. Grab yer beagles and get after 'em, or you will miss out on tons of fun! ;D

Don't have a beagle; tried kicking them up but no luck.

Been a slow season so far - only been out a few times with the dogs due to some major family obligations. Haven't seen nearly the numbers we did last year.
My Dad passed away 2 days after Christmas and the wife got laid off the following week and now my work hours have been cut to 34 hrs a week after working me 6-7 days a week for months.
Plus add to that that this has been the worst year for cars breaking down - things are not going well at my house over the past 6 weeks.
Hard to be in a good mood and want to spend the cash on gas and ammo when worried about paying the bills...

Hoosier - I have one who can - at times - I have no idea why but one day they can't shake her no matter what and other days she can't stick to them at all....no idea why....and snow or cattle fences are not an obstacle for her.
But on the good side she is getting much better on the pheasant and quail!!!

Sounds like shes a keeper Singleshooter! I have trudged behind beagles in heavy snows for years and know how most ACTUALLY do in it. Suffice to say that a skiff of snow results in a more pleasureable experience!

I've got 2 females that can run in snow or whatever, they can put it on a bunny. Also have 5 pups I'm trying to run right now, they are coming along fine.
