Been using this method for a few years now with a 5 gal. bucket of deer scraps. Will be gone the next day round here so you hunt it hard all day. If it still cold you can rebucket it and use it over and over again.

considering it can take a coyote 2 weeks to cover its home range and return.....and they will travel mostly at night....seems like a waste of time, IMHO I bet most of them scraps are eatin by possums and coons

There was a tutorial on this method in a predator hunting magazine back in the fall. I doubt that it would work in my area, as I've hunted over dead cows before to no avail. Coyotes were hitting them, just not when I was able to be there. On the other hand, calling seems to work quite well around here.
