has anybody heard in the mount vernon, or new harmony area in southern indiana that a man killed his neighbors coon dogs with two guns? i heard they were at a far distance and the guy shot them with a .22 and he went up to the dogs after that and shot them with his pistol from point blank between the eyes. the dogs were doing no harm to the man.

Good luck, there is a leash law in Indiana, and if they were on the other guys property it will be tough to convict him.

a few years ago afriend of mine had his coon dog shot.while it was treed the land owner walk up and shot it. took him to court got paid for the dog plus future income from pups and stud fees. this was in indiana. we still have the right to free cast our dogs and go retrieve them from property we don't have permission on.

Bull crap private property is private property. Coon dog or not. Your dog comes on my propery you wont be getting it without asking. Trespassing is Trespassing. Some of you guys crack me up.
Our woods we own is bordered by a cemetery on the south side. The drive for the cemetery is right by the trail leading to the woods. Guess who we have more trouble with than anyone trespassing? COON HUNTERS. for some reason they think they can just go wherever they want.

You cant ever track a wounded deer onto property you dont have permission to be on. What makes you think looking for a dog is any different.

I would suggest that you don't try that on my property or you are going to be answering to someone with a badge and I don't think you will like the results.

We've taken dogs off of hot trails more than once if they were headed somewhere they weren't supposed to be!

THE GUY WENT UP TO THE NEIBORS DOOR AND ASKED HIM TO GET HIS DOGS BACK AND THE GUY JUST SIMPLY SAID I KILLED THEM. SO THE MAN DID ASK FOR PERMISSION!

It seems we are getting too many "YOUs" and "Is" in this discusssion. That makes it kind of personal.
Let's stick to the subject without interjecting the "here is what *I* would do" and the "here is what *YOU* better not do", etc, etc , etc.
Thanks..
