Im a Georgia resident that's thinking about deer hunting in Indiana next year. Where in the state is the best chance to kill a 130 class or better? Any comments would be appreciated.

Illinois. ;d I would try to do some research with the Hoosier Record Buck Program. It can be a good state to hunt in, just have to leave your high powered rifle at home!

Ohio or Illinois would be a much better bet. But, if you can find a low pressure area (read: not a lot of deer or impossible to hunt) around an urban area, the swamps up north, or some low deer density areas such as the counties East of Indy, you have a decent chance. Good luck finding a spot like that and getting permission. Any area within 2 hours drive of Indy to the West or South should be a red flag (pressured) due to more deer and hunters. You are looking for a buck older than 2 years old in Indiana that isn't nocturnal after 32 days of firearms starting in mid-November. Get the picture? Oh yeah, "they are out there"

Really any place in Indiana it is possible to find 130 or higher. The southern part of the state does have more pressure, but more woods and public ground. Unless you are going to hunt public ground I would say you need to look for a lease. I would really suggest to use Google Earth to scout before you make the trip.

When I lived, just North of Evansville on 15 acres of land; a Bow Hunter shot a 17 point buck, on adjacent property just west of our property. The buck, dropped dead and, was found on my property.

And one time in band camp...Seriously each and every county has the potential for a nice buck. Depends on how much time, effort, or money you have. I'd avoid Marion Co (Indianapolis) but they do have the urban deer zone there if you can find a huntable place.

Vortex100 gave you some good info. Public ground in Southern Indiana is getting better than some all-private areas. I wouldn't hesitate to hunt public. You could honestly end up with better hunting than guys leasing down the road. Just have to do the work.

You could kill a 130" deer in any county in the state. They all have them. It's more a matter of where you can get some good private ground to hunt that is not pressured too badly.
If you don't have much time on your hands or no buddies with a honey hole, you'd be better off booking with an outfitter. If you can come up here a number of times or hunt for an extended period, you might consider a lease through somebody like basecamp leasing.
Good hunting !

Looks like some have steered you toward Illinois and Ohio. Might take the hint and hunt on the border somewhere?

I can only answer your question from the perspective of one who is intimately familiar with the places NOT to go.

If your looking for a good area to harvest a nice buck than I would narrow my search down to Jasper, Starke, Fulton, Marshall, and Iroquois counties. They have produced some very nice bucks over the years and theres not alot of bowhunting pressure if thats what your looking for and there is public land available in the areas.
