What an AWESOME hunt this evening! Myself and son Kyle hooked up with Delta Members Dan and his two boys, Mike Stearley, and Hank Yorke to hit one of my fields hoping for a little action...... we got it! I was worried when Kyle and I arrived and we had geese trying to land on us. I thought we might have messed up the field by getting there too late. Nah.... once we got all 7 blinds brushed in the geese had no clue! It did take about 30-45 minutes for the first flock to appear.....then it was GAME ON!!!! Non-stop action kept us totally entertained. Seemed like once that first flock cupped up and came in even better than we had scripted, we were in the hide the entire time. I can't begin to tell how many geese we had work us, and after we all got our limit we were amazed as they just sorta worked around us and landed in the field despite our trucks. The kids were having a BALL retrieving the downed geese and watching the squadrons of honkers dive bomb our blinds. One of the best of the season for sure... I only wish it had been Feb because I guarantee you we could have put 10 shooters in that field and smacked down 50 geese. That little field by White River park is hard to get permission on! Nice job, nice to hit a hot field.

The sun melted that Eastern shore of the White. OK.... the cat is out of the bag. I checked the old city limits and discovered a piece of that river bank that is not within the city limits, so....we pounded the geese between 10th and New York St. bridge. I wouldn't recommend pounding THAT hole. LOL
