I have heard of people doing that with air and water on thing such as coon, beaver, snapping turtles, and now deer/elk.
The honest response from people who were not getting paid to sell the items was it made no difference. Actually took extra effort from guys who were profecient skinners.
My only concern is what happens when you get to the areas that are punctured due to bullet or arrow. Would that cause a leak not allowing the air to separate the skin. Another gimmick like the cough tube IMO.

Actually this is an old practice, used by several meat packing establishments years ago. Most of them gave it up, preferring to utilize an experienced skinner with a knife. It just took too much time to hassle with.

I'm sure a gas station won't mind if you skin your deer in their parking lot. I have never done........ it, But I hear this is the perfered way to take the shell off of a soft shell turtle.
Man, I bet this would be the tickett for squirrels!!!
