Saw this movie last night and had a very hard time sitting through the ending.I usually wait for movies of this caliber to come out on DVD then rent them for free from the library but a fellow dog owner recommended it and he was right. This is a good family movie.( PS. don't forget your handkerchief just in case you get something in your eye).

The book has been out for quite a while, so the ending is not that shocking

Not a chick flick, I enjoyed it. Yes the ending is sad but if you have been through the same thing with your own pets you most likely won't break down.

Just from watching the previews it doesn't look like anything that would interest me at all.

I don't care for either actor but in this movie they were a good team. This is a movie for young and old alike. And yes It was hard for me since I have had several labs over the years that I had to put to sleep.

Jennifer Anniston was great.
It was a touching movie for me as well. I bet the book is even better, they always are!
My black lab midnight (I have had since age 14) will be 14 this year and is reaching the end of her life.
just like the real life marley, she has brought a lot of joy to a lot of lives

Brought our oldest to see it today, very well done. Bring some kleenex for the ending. The Quality a.k.a. Jennifer was very good, as usual. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I carried my 11 year old 100 lbs. black lab into the vets office last Saturday with tears streaming down my face. He's has been having a hard time getting up. Last Sat. he wouldn't get up. It was a trip I had been dreading, but knew it had to be done. The vet said his knees were shot, but they have came a long way with meds. for dogs with bad hips and knees. He said the meds. will not cure him but will relieve his pain some what. It's been 3 days and old Buds is getting around much better. We have 3 labs and they have brought more pleasure to this household than anything we own. We have no children. They all 3 have taught me alot. The world is a much better place, all because God created dogs. I'm still dreading that trip, that one day I know I will have to make.
From what i have heard I'm not sure if I want to see this movie right now.

I look forward to seeing it, especially since I am close to Mbogo's 1.5-year-old yellow lab. I have a feeling he (the dog, lol ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ) will become even more popular than he already is with the movie's release. I heard about the sad ending too, but having lost two of the three golden retrievers I grew up with I am prepared for it.

I raised an Australian from a little handful of fur - last year at 14 we had to take her in. On the way home me and the wife had to pull off for a while. Tore us up. That dog ran the woods with me, wrestled with the kids, swiped sandwiches, knew all kinds of tricks and generally was at my side every day.
I have a little stand in my woods behind the house, and she would always follow me to it and then lay down under the tree and sleep. I will always remember sitting in that stand because when it was quiet I could hear her snore.
Aussies are good dogs - my first one used to put dog food in my shoes at night. I had to shake them out in the morning.
I read the book, it was good, I don't want to see the movie though, I am going to have to take another one in before too long - tumor wrapped around his heart.
