OK, another theoretical question;
If you wound a deer, then evening hunting hours end, and you track and find the wounded deer, how can you legally finish it off?
You can not use an arrow, shotgun, or muzzleloader. Plus, I don't think using a knife to cut a deer's neck was ever a legal method.

You answered your own question. You CANNOT use an arrow, shotgun, ML, etc. until legal shooting hours the following day. If you know you did not make a clean killing shot on the deer, and/or you locate the wounded deer while tracking after legal hours, back out and come back the following morning during legal hours.
