For $1000 bucks I'd better not see any other hunters, let alone hear a birthday party. I'd certainly pursue any legal options, and I'd make sure that EVERYONE on the internet knew about the operation.

I had avery bad experience a few years ago with a VERY popular outfitter tied into Buckmasters. boulder creek outfitters out of idaho.
On the outiftter review web page I posted the letter I sent to the owner after our hunt and immediately started getting harrassing emails from the owner of the outfitting business. AND one of his friends. lol he called me a little poopy pants lol I kept all of their emails they were pretty entertaining. Really showed what kind of person he is. Like the lady in the link I was told my issues were due to me not killing a bear. Even when I pointed out example after example of his lies to me before we hunted. I havent been on the site for a while and the link isnt on this machine but I will get the link and post it. I think in the outfitter section of this web page is the letter I wrote to him after our hunt.

I like to hear both sides before judgement is given.....
Expectation can be a terrible thing, I have learned people that plan that "hunt of a lifetime" have a hard time when things do not go to plan and have trouble accepting anything less.

I understand you point however there is no acceptable explanation for sitting in a stand and listening to a neighbors conversation at a birthday party.

Sounds like a cry baby deal to me. Bought a cheap hunt, and got a cheap hunt.

There is always two sides to every story.
Tough to be an impartial judge without hearing both sides.
There are some "outfitters" that will just want your money and then there are some hunters that think they should get a big buck just because they paid some money.
The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle..

I'd bet there's been some mighty nice bucks killed in Ohio within earshot of sombodies back deck? Good urban hunting is often really close to inhabitants and homes. Still those small blocks of cover can hold some really good bucks.

YEP...The buck on the left held by the hunter in the wheelchair was taken within sight of our local high school and a big sub-division. I think it went a tad over 170. These were Indiana bucks.

Got to admit if I paid for a hunt and could hear what was being talked about at a party I would be highly POed. No question there are lots of big bucks near humans but if that is the kind of place you are going to be set up at you should at least be told about it. Sounds to me like some out of staters being taken advantage of.
