I would assume the September 15th kill was the first buck .... legal with an urban tag. There are a couple of ways to legally kill more than one antlered deer a year.

I love it. I knew someone would bring up OBR. I said the first Sat of each season and my first season was the urban zone. Do you all think someone that killed two bucks illegally would post it on the web. First clue it was legal should be my location.

I mistakenly put September 15th ..... I should have said September 20th.
Urban deer is before archery season ..... and archery season always comes in October 1st.

Boy, people are obsessed with this. It's like a cult. Pretty soon the deer police will want to get rid of buck tags for park, military and urban hunts too. Theoretically, you could get a bunch of bucks if you got them on refuge, park, urban, and regular tags. I remember you posting it as an urban buck. Don't worry about it, 10point.

I think the OBR was the cause of the great Hatfield/McCoy feud! ;d . . . . . . . . OBR= One Bad Ride The feud started when Woody Hatfield sold Chico McCoy a "ridin' mule" for 10 gallons of sour mash. Chico took the mule home for his pappy Deertracks McCoy to ride to church on Sunday. Deertracks got all gussied up, wearing his "Sunday go to meeting" duds and Chico helped him up on the mule. As soon as bottom and back met, that mule began kicking and jumping like a wasp had flew in it's...well you know, it's an "exit only" kinda place. Anyways Deertracks was thrown and wouldn't you know he ripped his pants on the fence and landed face down in the manure pile, which had just been frehened up when Huxbux McCoy cleaned out the barn that very morning. The whole McCoy family swore that Woody had sold that mule on purpose, mainly because they could hear him laughing from the bushes when Deertracks was thrown, and thus began the great Hatfield/McCoy feud, all caused by the OBR!

True story..... but Deertracks McCoy isn't much of a mule rider. The secret is that you are supposed to talk sweet to the mule first. Maybe even blow in it's ear.. But we are off subject here. Dang OBR.

The butcher I use when it's too hot or I have too many deer hanging said something very interesting this year. He has never seen so many button bucks killed as this year.
