Just spent 2 mornings duck hunting with my hunting buddy of 36 years.For some reason the last 2 years we never seemed to be able to hook up. With little or no ducks in the area it didn't look promising (but we still got what it takes). We killed our limits of geese each day and several ducks thrown in for good measure.
My Friend is training a young CHESSY and I have a seasoned LAB
together they did a great job.I am lucky to have a spot that doesn't freeze so late season open water shoots are great.
The best part was yesterday we had 2 geese in the blind and we were yakking away when with out warning about 25 geese slid over from behind, did a about face out front and came right in.
I love when they surprise ya.
