No pics of big bucks sorry. Just wanted to say howdy neigbor from over here in the big metropolis of Paris Crossing. Born and raised in Seymour and got the hell out about 18 years or so ago and came over this way...Steve.

I hunt Jackson/Brown mostly as I'm near Freetown. The best part of the rut for me here was unfortunately at night the first week of November when we had those blistering temps. Big buck sightings were way down for me this year, but I haven't hunted near as much either. A lot of 2 1/2yr olds though.

I live in Jackson Co near the Jackson/Brown/Bartholomew lines (Sundance Lake area). Big Buck sightings have been down for me over the last two years. Saw a couple bucks that where in the 120-130 range. One in archery and one in ML a couple days ago. Both should be good deer next year if they make it.

I hunt in Western Jennings, just East of the Refuge a few miles, then just into Washington Co. I scored on a 130" deer in Washington and my dad scored on a 138" in Western Jennings this year.

You're not to far from myself. You familiar with the Turkey Hill Bottoms? Sure am, what side of the road do you hunt down there?

Yeah I use to spot light down there. Haven't for years now though. I know some of the guys who hunt and farm the east side. Also the landowner who owns the Far North West area

Hello, I'm from western Jennings (Lake Priscilla Road) and mainly hunt in the western half of Jennings. I took a 125" or so 9pt with bow in early November. The buck was with a doe and was protecting the doe from a small 6pt at the time. I just posted the pic the the photo section.

I score deer for the Hoosier Record Book program and have scored a ton of BIG deer from Jackson County. The biggest to date went 221" with 4 drop tines. Jackson County is overlooked but is a true deer treasure. If you can find a place to hunt in this county do it. Hoosier National Forest by FREETOWN produced a 198" a few years back for a guy I know.
