My Dad was out scouting last Friday and some guy got upset with him for scaring two does that were working his way. My Dad proceeded to tell him it wasn't even season. I think it was probably an honest mistake and I wonder how many others were hunting.

I always wondered that myself. I am sure there are quite a few guys out there that believe the season is still in during that week.

Had a kid on my football team this year shoot a 4 pt during the youth hunt. I told him he better read up on his regs..... He then said they didn't find it anyways.... Also had a few people tell me they missed one during Jan. That was back when hunting season went out before Jan...... Takes all kinds I guess....

I also heard several shots ,Saturday that were not muzzle loaders.

I also heard several shots ,Saturday that were not muzzle loaders. How do you know they weren't? There are several companies making smokless muzzle loaders now and they sound like rifles or slug guns. h.h. |

Saw a guy last year at wal mart. The day before gun season requesting to buy a Muzzleloader License, cause thats what he was hunting with. lol I probably saved him alot of trouble.

Or.... they could have been using an illegal firearm during muzzleloader season!!!
I've seen/heard the same thing many times 1st hand... heard boom, boom, boom just over the fence.... then see a deer w/ a nice red spot on it's side come over the fence right under my stand.

You know...its kind of funny that I seen this forum start up....I was on my way to work last Friday morning and a man come across the radio station that I was listening to, all out of breath saying that he had just had his 15 minutes of fame....then proceeded to talk about the 15 pt. buck that he had just shot... I was beginning to wonder if it was just a recording from another day that radio stations tend to do, however, they were talking about the colts game coming up on Sunday....SO....I have a feeling that the man had just shot a deer on Friday....when he shouldnt have even been in the woods...
