Having already taken my "genetic brainfart" buck, along with my daughter's buck, there is really no pressure to put meat in the freezer. That being said I will be out when I have some time and the weather is in my favor.

I'm not into muzzleloaders ( which of course could change at any time! ) however I'm going wait a couple of weeks after gun season and then I'm going to get the bow back out and see if I can't put 1 of the gals down.

Got a six point brainfart and got quite a bit of meat out of him. I attempted to process my own meat and didn't do to bad so I'm thinking of taking a wise ole nanny to practice some more and put some more meat in the freezer. So yes I'll be taking the ML out the next couple weeks. May try the bow a few times later on also.

I'll be out with the old smoke pole especially if we get some snow on the ground. I took my buck during firearms season but another doe would be nice.

I'll probably go out with my crossbow the late season to see if I can add a doe or two to my church's food pantry.

I shall hit the woods, it is a special place this time of year......
Filled the firearms tag and one bonus anterless tag, have another in my pocket and plan on using the old TC Renegade percussion cap with open sights. The same gun I used during the inagural Indiana muzzleloader season.
Does anyone remember what year Indiana had its first muzzleloader season?

I................ Does anyone remember what year Indiana had its first muzzleloader season? Before my time.. I don't remember but I did hurry out and bought and hunted with a Thompson Center Hawkin. The gun is still in my gun cabinet.

Does anyone remember what year Indiana had its first muzzleloader season? I am not sure but I think it was 1980? I know either sex was legal.

I WILL BE OUT THERE!!! I hunt during ALL the deer seasons. If they had a "rock throwing" deer season, I will be out here then also. (Hmmn, Judging by some of my shots, I might even be better at rock throwing) I have been a permanent resident of a couple treestands since October 1 when Early Archery season opened and I was still there during the Firearms season. Pretty much "Tagged Out" until Muzzleloader and Late Archery so I was using my camera get photos for some outdoor articles. Hope EVERYONE has a SAFE and SUCCESSFUL hunting season. Bud Fields
