I dunno what's up but I really have the mid-season burn out. I saved all this vacation time to hunt and I'm not hunting. I hunted opening day thru Tuesday morning (3-1/2 days) and that's about it. Now I'm just sitting around. After I shot my buck Tuesday morning I really don't have a interest to go back out  I did go with my brother this past Saturday for few hours but told myself I wouldn't shoot anything. Yesterday I told myself I was going to out this morning and take a doe. 6AM the alarm goes and I shut it off and roll back under the covers. I'm supposed to be off until the 3rd but decided I'll go back to work tomorrow. Hope I turn things around soon. Supposed to do Atterbury this weekend and a park hunt next week. |

I think it has a lot to do with getting your buck. You'll be ok! Think TURKEY!  ..and no, not this Thursday's feast. I want to hear a gobble already lol. |

I am just the opposite. I have been everyday since Oct 1 and I cant wait to get out there today. I am just as excited today as I was Oct 1.

If you don't want to shoot a deer, it can be hard to get motivated to go out alone. But it would be fun to take someone else, especially a young person or new hunter.

Sometimes we hunt too hard and make work out of it. Correct, Woody! The whole point in sport hunting is to just get out and enjoy it. Don't think of it as work. |

I only wish I could get a deer of my own for the freezer. I'm not burned out, but bummed out with the outcome of this season so far.

Yep time does fly, after deer season the thing I look forward to the most is the start up of 3D.

Right now is when I usually start seeing the shooters every year so I kinda try to pace myself. I'm extremely pumped about the rest of the week and the first week of muzzleloader. It is when I have seen the giants, not that I wouldn't kill one early if it would show itself. Nice buck you killed, HH. Anymore pics of it other than hangin?

Hang in There HH, I know what you mean, as i went through this kinda? Maybe you just need to put the Bow and Gun up and enjoy the quite time at Home, I would never go back to work early though. Try some fishing we tore the Crappies up at Mississewna yesterday 40 nice ones.
