You would think that if it was just the wad, the air pressure from the second shot would have pushed it out...... Not that I'm about to test that theory. I've not had any problems with electrical tape over the muzzle, but that's a slightly thinner material too.

Military snipers frequently use tape or condoms to keep their bores unobstructed without problems. When my Dad's barrel blew up, we had run out of shells, but still had pigeons left. So our neighbor went home and brought back some old paper hulled shells and one of the hulls split from the head and lodged in the bore about midway down. The next shot after that blew the barrel.

Thanks for posting the picture Duff. I don't even try to look at those links. As seemingly most don't work for some reason. More than likely my computer protection but it still wont work.
