Wow is all I can say!! Ddragon had the draw to get us in.. Met up with him and his daughter around 8 my time just off 65,, then we drove on to the spot... Check out the front seat ride also.. Didnt take long and Ddragon had the first rooster on the ground.. That place was awesome.. THere was birds all over the place.. We took along my duck dog,, and after she finally figured out what we were doing,, it was a GREAT time.. Yeah we did walk right past a couple that flushed behind us,, but all in all,, I think we did good. I have heard guys talk about getting drawn for these area's,, but no way was I expecting to see this much action.. We made about 4 passes through,, and each time we kicked up birds.. All 3 of us got in on the action,, Ddragons daughter made a excellent shot on her rooster as well!! No doubt I will be signing up for these each year!! Thanks for the invite Ddragon,, I had a BLAST!! Couple more pics of the day!!

Good stuff! I'm like 0 for 10 on the draw hunts, so if i'm lucky I might get to experience it once in my lifetime. So far i've been able to flush 11 hens and 1 rooster. Not great, but for un-managed public ground i'm not complaining.

It took me 10 years of put in to get this draw. If it was a little less windy we may have had more birds. You are welcome Pigeon. 11 hens and 5 rooster all togather just on that hunt.

Boom, these are wild and the state runs certain areas in White , Newton and Benton counties every year on a lottery system, you have to put your name in by a certain date and if your lucky enough to get a draw you take two other hunters and hunt the property for the day. I've been putting in for at least15 years now and have never gotten the good news. always get the better luck next year letter. Did get to go this with a fellow on this site. Seen alot of birds but never pulled the trigger due to flushes to far off.

Who in heck drives their birddog to the field in the front seat. I "know" a guy that used to let his lemon beagle sit on his lap covered in a blanket to and from hunting because he used to get anxious in the dog box. I did it once in Kentucky with a bunch of his buddies and I'll never live it down...He. He will never live it down is what I meant to say.
