I got drawn for the Nov. Fort Harrison reduction hunt. I have a question regarding licensing for the hunt though. A hunter needs to have a legal archery tag to hunt, but do you have to use that tag when checking in your deer or does DNR use a special tag of their own?
The regs are not clear. They tell you to "shoot whatever comes by." I figured there is no way a hunter would want to tag 4 deer if he has to pay for all four licenses. If anyone has clarification I would appreciate it.

I got drawn for Harrisons Dec. hunt. You can get a military refuge license and use it so you don`t use up your regular archery tag, you are allowed 3 deer at the fort, 1 buck and 2 doe,,you might call the info numbers on the paperwork you got on the hunt and check but I think you can tag all 3 deer on the 1 M/R license.

You only need your license to apply, and it can be any deer license - you won't use a license at the park. You can shoot 3 deer (all 3 antlerless or 2 does and 1 antlered, as you can only shoot 1 antlered). They will give you metal transport tags for each at their check-in station. These are all IN ADDITION to ordinary annual bag limits, freebies:)
