Like I've said in another post, some friends and I are planning a freelancing trip to either Manitoba or the Dakota's. Some of my friends are worried that we'll have a hard time getting permission to the fields. Does anyone have any experience with gaining permission on a freelance trip? Thanks Mike

You will have no problem getting permission"leave the field or slough the way you found it" is the common response we get in Manitoba.I have been going to Manitoba the past four years and been told NO once, because family was hunting the next day.The farmers where we hunt will actually call there neighbors to get permission for you. They think you are nuts for driving that far to shoot birds.North Dakota could be a little bit different.
