You can vote early in EVERY county by going to your County Clerks office. I didn't know that. You can also vote early if you register ahead of time to vote absentee--usually they send you the ballot a month or so in advance.

You can vote early in EVERY county by going to your County Clerks office. That is the way I understood it too.

Absentees largely vote Conservative because it takes a bit of thought and pre-planning to do it. "Early Polling" is an attempt to bus illigitimate & "buyable" "voters" (who would otherwise be too drunk or stupid vote Democrap on election day) to the polls. Dragging in all of those indigents and idiots takes time... so they got it. I refuse to participate in a blatant attempt by the Democraps to skew the election by lengthening the time THEY have to pay off homeless drug addicts to "Vote Early & Often". Early balloting is a ization and complete corruption of the system... particularly in the modern era where communication & travel time is NOT an issue. If you think you won't be available on the 4th, get an absentee ballot.

Good point. Interesting about absentees largely voting Conservative--if I had to guess, I would have predicted that. I also agree about the hype about early polling and trying to get people more likely to vote in a liberal way to do so over time. I also can't see why people can't request an absentee ballot if they can't or don't want to go to the polls on election day (except if that person is too lazy, drunk, or stupid to plan ahead as you point out). I think you need to examine your narrow minded perception of your fellow man. I would have expected more from some of you. Sad

So democrats who vote early are homeless drunk drug addicts? I think you need to examine your narrow minded perception of your fellow man. I would have expected more from some of you. Sad No--my point was that it seems that early voting programs are there solely for the purpose of getting more people more likely to vote Democratic to vote over time rather than depending on them to all get there on the 4th (people who are depending on socialism to get a welfare check, etc.). Why is it that early voting programs by and large take place in larger cities where there are more people like this that are likely to vote Democratic? Why do we even need programs like this when there is absentee voting? I have voted absentee for years, and it is one of the simplest things to set up if you have some foresight and ability to investigate how to set things up. When did I ever say that all Democrats voting early were drunk and homeless drug addicts? All I said is that this is the demographic early voting was probably more likely to draw. And don't suggest that I have a "narrow minded" view of humankind because you are confusing a possible correlation I mentioned with an absolutist statement--I have spent more than 4 years of my life studying why people do what they do, examining my views of people, and providing some level of regard to people who have never been provided it by society. You would be surprised to know that most of my friends and colleagues, including my best and closest friend of 10 years, are very liberal.

Just one more erosion of the America I grew up in. If you are to damn lazy to get out there on election day then you don't really care enough to vote. There have always been ways for the elderly and handicaped to get to the poles.

There have always been ways for the elderly and handicaped to get to the poles. I go to school a significant distance away from my permanent address where I am registered to vote, and I'm scheduled to do other things at school on election day. Therefore, it's more convenient for me to vote absentee so I don't have to drive home and back just to vote and not be able to do what I need to do. I don't have any problem with people voting absentee if they want to, and it's a great option for the elderly or people with disabilities.

Sorry Doc. wasn't referring to absentee voting. My problem is with the cattle drives going on in the mainly inner cities where they are going to vote almost 100% for the party that created the mess they now live in. No I am not racist but I am not blind either.
