What is your vote? ? Mine is a definte and for sure Hamilton County... There isn't much woods left unless you get into the Sheridan area, some out by the Lapel area.... But as a whole Ive knocked on so many doors my hands are raw.. Its incredible to me that me offering to pay people for archery only and no gun rights and people still say no....These arent people who have people hunting their land either.... The latest response was this "We like our deer"... Cant blame em i guess... Sorry, just venting...

I'm sure most of us, not knowing how things are in other counties, would vote for our home county.

Closer to Indy you are the tougher it gets. I would also include any trophy area, anywhere. My latest "uncertain" came from a great area of Washington County. This person has WAY to many deer, almost of Brown Co. SP proportions. Some people don't really care about the herd health or all their native plants being gone. "I know I have too many deer, but all my neighbors hunt." I just told the person, well they aren't killing enough does. If ehd hits the area they can go pick up the deer out of the cattle ponds.

There is some good hunting in Floyd and Clark counties not too mention Harrison and crawford counties, but it seems that most of it is either already privately owned and hunted or the farmers around here dont seem to want to let up on access ! Alot of them are afraid of gettin sued or afraid that people are going to tear the land up..... I have even used the land owner permission paper out of the book but still not a whole lot of luck..... I had a great spot in Borden IN thats in Clark County five hundred and eighty something acres me and 5 other guys hunted there, ol farmer loved just to see the deer or turkeys we took and just asked us to stop in and have a cup of coffee with him every now and then.... HE DIED last year at 85 years old his family never came and seen him but they sure did sell that land no more than two weeks later to a bunch of loggin companies !!!! The part I hate the most is that I should of stopped in for more coffee more often, I will truly miss that man, he was a great fella and loved to tell stories !!!

Marion Urban Zone. A lot of deer very little hunting allowed I have to agree with the above. A lot of good hunting areas still available. Neighbors not too cooperative.
