Who watched the VP debate last night and what are your thoughts?
I think Governor Palin held her own and I also think that Joe Biden thinks he is running against Bush.
Why does the Obama/Biden ticket keep criticizing McCain/Palin for the things Bush is responsible for? Can't they see that Bush is not in the race, heck he ain't even stumping for McCain/Palin!
The more I watch Palin the more impressed I am with her. McCain needs to take the reins off her and let her talk with America!

Obama is running against Bush, he's trying to use the things people are unhappy about that Bush has done or that have happened while he has been office to propell him. Attacking the incumbent is an old strategy. His own record is far more liberal than the majority of voters so he has to shift the focus. McCain & the RNC have done a poor job of attacking Obama's vulnerabilities, not that that's a big surprise - the Rep's campaign abilities never have impressed me and McCain is a weak candidate to start with.

Here's what ticks me off! Last night after the debate, I was forced to watch MSNBC/NBC's coverage since I was @ work....but surprisingly all the analysts they had on put Palin way ahead. The first person they had on said Palin, "KILLED HIM"..... another said, "She had it at "Can I call you Joe?"" so I get home, of course go to Fox News and of course they are singing her praises.....and the poll that Greta had on had Palin win 87% to 11%. So, I wake up this morning and all the news outlets are reporting poll data that says that Biden won!?!?! What did THEY watch? On CNN they replayed the debate, and they had their cute little graphs at the bottom that measure how people feel about the response.... The instant Palin opened her mouth they would start moving downward, and the instant Biden talked they went positive.....before any substance was even spoken.
These polls are a joke....they should all be banned from election politics. The samples they get are crafted and biased and they know it.

palin did a great job.
no major gaffes and she stuck to her strengths. She also limited the number of "you betchas" and "darn rights" and referneces to "small town values" that she used.

Those polls may be a joke but they tend to sway voters that haven't paid attention to anything other than the radio/tv adds because they think that many others have a better grasp upon what the poll has said or done. Even if it is biased and incorrect. Like a lot of surveys that say select the awns that matches your feelings and then there are none. But you have to select something. Ban all electoral polls.

The more I watch Palin the more impressed I am with her. McCain needs to take the reins off her and let her talk with America! Because they are republicans. They have sworn their allegience to the republican wing of the Uni-Party. BushII has been the leader of the their party for the last 8 years including 6 years when their party controlled the house, the senate, the executive branch and most of the state levels of government in this country. He keeps brining up Bush II because McBushIII voted with BushII 90 percent of the time. BushII isn't campaigning for McBushIII because he's trying to do him a favor allowing him to distance himself and avoid responsibility for the last 8 years he has supported the republican wing of the uni-party. If McBush were Palin's back up plan I'd feel a lot better about the ticket.
