Don't take this wrong, $550 is a reasonable priced hunt anywhere, there is potential for killing a decent buck, and I wish you the best of luck ........ but, I suspect you are getting B.S'ed a little.
That land is certainly not "previously unhunted", as the landowner has always let all of his employees hunt it, and pretty much anyone that asked up through last year. The farms I am familar with (mostly Cass county) are in pretty high pressure areas, hunters in every woodlot, especially during firearms season. Most of this guys farms have very little cover, as first thing he does is start bulldozing out the fence rows, wood lots, etc., shortly after purchasing.
You can kill deer on these places, but going with the expectations of 50% success on 125" or better deer is pretty far fetched ...... even in the best whitetail areas like Pike county IL , Iowa, Alberta, or Kansas. Also, if you drove around and saw 200" deer and lots of 140" deer, they must have been driving you around Bellars deer farm, because that just aint likely .... hardly anywhere. Why don't you ask for some telephone numbers from those clients they claim killed big bucks opening week.
Again, I wish you the best of luck but take what those outfitters say with a grain of salt. A common thing I've seen is for outfitters to post photos of friends, guides and neighbors big buck kills on their website, etc. labled as "another big buck from our area". That's just the way it works. Nothing against these guys, lots of outfitters do it,I've hunted with some of them. Best deal is to talk to previous paying clients to get the straight scoop ......and since these guys are brand new, that will be tough to do.
If I could recommend strategy, I'd say stay out of the larger woodlots and try to find obscure out of the way little fence rows, etc. that the other guys aren't willing to hunt, a long walk off the road, etc. If you elect to hunt some of the Cass county ground, shoot me a PM and I might be able to give you a recommendation or two. Again, good luck ... but this almost sounds too good to be true.

two things about the last post 1. Bellars deer farm is shut down (so i was told by one of his guys) i couldn't hunt that area anyways i look at it way to much. 2.I have been up there twice sence season opened and i was there the day before it opened. I have seen the deer hanging (well one) when i called up there they were get one scored and i can hear the guys in the background talking about the hunt.
A SIDE NOTE: alot of these things im am posting im getting from calling or being there when something is going on. I really don't know any more then what i have posted on here. I posted on here just to see if i could get a couple of guys together to go on a nice hunt.

I already have a buck and it sounds awfully expensive for an Indiana hunt, I pay less than half of that for all season.

MY hunt was for the 8th - the 10th. well it was a successful hunt. on the first day. they had me so pumped up ready to go i didn't know what i was to when i got there. They gave me a dumb crash course on how to score a deer you couldn't shoot a deer that scored less then 125. I went out the first morning and saw a few does, they came a got me about 11:00 do go have lunch i went back to my stand and i saw a real nice 9 point but he just wouldn't come in to range.(crossbow) this would be all i saw on the first day of my hunt. NO ONE IN MY GROUP SAW ONE THAT SCORED 125 OR BETTER THAT DAY. We had a nice fire and dinner. On the second day (the 9th) we all went out and i had about the same day this time i had a BB walk under me.' we got back to camp and 2 of the 6 guys who went with me had made a kill. So the 2nd day wasn't so bad for us. that night we were looking over some maps of all there land and i found one that's a good drive for the camp site. I asked about more info on the land and i want to know about hunting it. I found out the land i was asking about was state land up to the spring of last year then it was sold (behind the state hospital) it not been hunted as long as the state owned it. well needless to say my 3rd day was much better i saw 5 bucks 3 of with were non shooters and the 5th i didn't see till i shot but all and all it not a bad hunt to go on no i didn't get a monster but it was at 125 by a hair it has a great spread 8 total points. pros. good people they feed you 3 meals hot showers target range good people big walk in cooler to store meat free does after buck was taken cons i didn't like the bunk house it slept 8 guys to a room now we had 6 but 8 might have been to many of a room . we slept 3 in one bunk house and 3 on the other side. they only had 3 hooks to hang deer after that u were on a tail gate my guide did have a camera to take pics in the wood of the deer. he didn't even find his camera till we started to skin it All -n-all i would do it again 6 of us went up and we tagged out 6 deer buddy got a buck and a doe. one buddy saw deer just nothing in range or didn't score well did i say the people were very nice people.

Congrats to you, assuming that is your buck in the pic. Glad to hear it went well. What exactly did the "guide" do?
