My favorite class for fire extinguisher training was a room with a blonde lady. During the classroom instructions on the fire extinguisher; I used the phrase "grab the pin and twist the pin to break the plastic tie." "Then pull the pin from the extinguisher" "Just pull it out like pulling a pin from a grenade to allow squeeze of the handles together" I noticed the blonde talk to friend about what a grenade was.
Outside the blonde lady for her use of fire extinguisher to put out a controlled fire was up to try. She did twist the pin the plastic tie broke away. She then tried to put out fire. She could not get the handle to squeeze. I knew she needed help to remember to pull the pin out. I leaned in and told her to remember pull pin like from a grenade. She pulled the pin and stoutly tossed the fire extinguisher at the fire "just like a grenade"
