What's in the heart comes out via the tongue! From Rush Limbaugh's radio show yesterday..... Hey, folks, you want to tweak the Drive-By Media with me right now? You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states. You heard this? And everybody chalked it up to, 'Well, he's tired.' You know, this is a Dan Quayle moment. I mean, Dan Quayle goes out there and misspells 'potato,' and we still hear jokes about it. Barack Obama says he's gonna go out and campaign in 57 states, he was just tired,=2 0you know, it's been such a long campaign, he's been so many places, he probably thinks there are 57 states. Well, I have here a printout from a web site called the International Humanist and Ethical Union. And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins. 'Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United Nations Commission on human rights called combating.' ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisation_of_the_Islamic_Conference ) Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states. So did Obama just lose his bearings, or was this a more telling slip, ladies and gentlemen?

I think, as much as I don't trust the guy, it was a slip up, not an Islamic thing. I have questioned that before, but I believe that he isn't Islamic anymore, but I do believe that he isn't as sharp as he seems when there is a teleprompter in front of him. He is not spit and polished when you push him.

Let's not forget that in an interview he stated that McCain had not challenged his Islamic faith....oops he meant Christian faith.

huntnprayn you may be right, I am just trying to be fair and balanced. I genuinely think Obama is probably I nice guy, like Hannity says "You can live by a liberal, eat with a liberal and work with a liberal; just don't vote for one" . I will gladly admit I am wrong Obama is concerned. I did listen to the interview and what I have heard him say is that John McCain had not attacked him for his muslin faith, He was saying that John McCain has not said he thinks Obama is a Muslim. He professes a Christian faith.....I can't say I agree with that either, but Obama isn't admitting he is a Muslim in that interview. Those types of comments that Obama makes though are the one that hurt him in two ways, they prove he isn't the great communicator he thinks he is and then folks run with the slip up and make hay with it. Again I don't like the guys leanings and WILL NOT VOTE for him and I am praying to God for a our leaders and the right leader for America, in the end it is up to Him to put that person in office whatever the reason the Lord has!

Anyone running for president needs to know automatically how many states there are and should realize immediately when he or she has stated this incorrectly. There is no room for a "slip-up" like that from him. The fact that he didn't immediately know and correct his mistake scares me.

Greyhound I agree you should know how many states there are, but I believed that the tying the Islamic 57 to that comment isn't accurate. Look I want the guy out of there and out of office because I don't agree with him or trust him to run the country the way I see it should be. I think he screwed up and proves my point earlier; he isn't the great communicator.

I think the tie-in to the Islamic 57 is a bit of a stretch as well, but he still needs to have that information on automatic recall with no room for errors. You are so right about his poor communication--here's Obama without his teleprompter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=omHUsRTYFAU...and he needs to be a better communicator to be president!!
