hey travis: It's time to roll up the 'jump to conclusions mat.' I'm sure not supporting Obama and not for McCain either. Like so many americans I am dissatisfied with both of the major parties in Washington. In a recent post, Woody linked to the dismal approval ratings of the congress and bush (about 30 and 34% respectively if I remember right). I am a lot more of a conservative than a liberal but I am fed up with the failures of both parties. If someone is opposed to Obama (or McCain), that's fine by me, but they need to base their reasoning on facts not some propaganda that you got in an email or read online. Too many of the posts on here are the usual conservative propaganda or outright lies. I don't think we should attack each other based on ones candidate choice. I'll agree that we should not attack each other, but I'll attack statements and question the logic behind opinions all day long on this. I'm not one to throw poop on the wall so everyone can see it, then run away without taking questions as to why and how the poop was thrown. I'll make very pointed criticisms of BHO, and if any of the forum Dems want to take me to task on them I'll gladly debate my stance. My point was that it's normal for the few misguided souls on here to put up an anti-McCain, anti-Palin post.....and maybe respond a time or two, but when the heat gets turned up you never see a reply to the members questions...... Stick and run I guess is the technique.........

If you measure greatness by public approval ratings then Sarah Palin is a great governor. I have read her record and it's clear that she has done many great things for the people of Alaska. But does she have the experience to be in #2 position in this country? THAT is the question that so many Americans have right now. She's better qualified for the #2 seat than Obama is for the #1. Uhhh she's more qualified to be #1 than Obama is of being #2. Junior Senator that hasn't written ONE piece of major legislation. Votes present, as has been pointed out, unless its gun control. Voted to not allow medical attention to late term aborted babies.......this guy not only supports choice..............he ENCOURAGES abortion. Yeah he's a rock star. He's the anointed one alright. Put a suit and tie on a turd and it's still a turd.

76chevy,
I don't want to sling any mud, but it's the Dem's that are party as usual. They are backing a guy that they know has VERY little experience in Congress like he is some anointed Jedi knight that has come to save the rebel cause. The McCain ticket hasn't said it but the media sure will point it out........McCain is distancing himself from George W. Bush, who by the way is not responsible for partisan politics in congress. He was more than likely the best man for this country in the hour that he took watch. Can you imagine what it would have been like on Sept. 11, 2001 under Al Gore? Can you imagine where the country would be right now? We would still be fearing terrorist attacks because he would have stood by and done NOTHING. Nothing but tell them in that pathetic drawl of his that we won't stand for this type of behavior. Oh sure we would all be "green"; trying to make sure that the oceans don't rise and cover Ohio.
Want your guns taken away? Vote Obama. Want higher taxes.....because what he said yesterday about his "net" plan is BS. Vote Obama.
What does anyone have on John McCain.... He's old. He voted with the President on the right thing to do in Iraq. He doesn't like computers.

Those that seemingly look up to Mr. Hussein Obama obviously like the sounds of his Socialism and redistribution of wealth policies. The only thing I can think is that they are looking forward to working 40 hours just so even more of their checks can be carved up and given to those who are too lazy to get a job, or given to those who have learned how to ride the government gravy train by having baby after baby. I guess they look forward to the day where our President will dictate that we must drive Hybrid Camry's into the woods to go on nature hikes (because if he has his way they certainly won't be going into the woods to hunt!). Perhaps they like the idea of a new President with no hard examples of the "Change" that he is pandering? Don't overlook the fact that some on here are just amazed at the work that he accomplished as a Community Organizer.....
See staggy, there are lots of reasons that some amongst us feel are reasons to vote in a man who's background, and his associations with those who routinely spew venom about the country that I love. Plenty of reasons I say..... plenty of reasons to Hope for Hussein Obama's brand of Change.
