I'm STILL waiting for my 10.2 million from the gentlemam in Nigeria. Maybe, if I get it before the auction.... parson

I'd say most of us couldn't even afford the property taxes on such a parcel.

Someone substantial will buy the whole thing and keep it to themselves.

Looks like an opportunity for anyone with a nest egg or some equity to pick up a parcel for an investment they can hunt on.
I haven't seen a more reliable investment than bare ground.
I would expect the value of the parcels to generally outgrow my current IRA portfolio and any income from timber or cropground leasing to cover taxes or at least keep the net cost of ownership very low.
I couldn't make a noticable dent in the expected price for the whole package, either, but there may be some parcels that go low enough for me to consider. There will be a lot of them on the market at one point, which may help keep the auction price low, along with the timing with regard to current economic conditions.
I'll probably at least try to get down there for a better look and check out how much of my nest egg I could free up for the opportunity. Sure wish I'd grabbed one of the purchase opportunities I've passed over through the years.
