They are getting fewer and fewer.... not sure that they still carry that Ruger either. Varmint101 said they couldn't even backorder them. BTW- I talked to my local gun shop and they said they can not get enough Marlin lever guns. Marlin has a lot of guns on backorder.. he said the Henrys and Pumas don't sell near as well because of scoping problems..

My wife picked up her ***NEW STYLE*** Deerfield Carbine tonight at our dealer's shop. The guy rated it at 95%, but I swear it was more like 98/99%. It had a couple of nearly-invisible dings in the stock and a couple of faint scratches on the barrel.
Ruger discontinued the semi-auto carbines last year (2006), so they are hard to come buy. The Wal-Marts that still carry firearms can't even get the Ruger carbines anymore.
I guess that the lever-actions aren't near as scarce, but all the shops in my area are practically sold out of them. Give it a few more weeks for everyone to realize that the are now legal for deer, and you won't find any in stock until after season. A coworker of mine bought a Marlin recently, and was taking his dad back to the same shop tonight to buy the last one.
