Got this in an email today-don't have any way of verifying all of it but it sure seems right....
Change?
Why isn't this on the front page of every newspaper ?
This has to make you think a little bit, if not then keep your blinders on!
George Bush has been in office fo 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
A little over one year ago: 1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high; 2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon; 3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%. 4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 + 5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations o'seas, living large!...
But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress & yep--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the PAST YEAR: 1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ; 2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!; 3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase); 4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS & ; prices still dropping; 5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure. 6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~11,100-- $2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS! YEP , IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE!..AND WE SURE AS HELL GOT IT!!!....NOW OBAMA, the DEM'S CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT--AND THE POLLS SAY HE'S GONNA BE 'THE MAN'--CLAIMS HE'S GONNA REALLY GIVE US CHANGE!!....
JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YA THINK YOU CAN STAND???.....

The timing surely seems about right to me! Nobody will remember the first 6 years of GWB who led us through the 9/11 attacks and how we kept plugging away even with the economy troubles that were related to the atttacks.... but hey, America wanted the Dems in charge in 06 and look what happened. Of course though, it's all GWB's fault.....

Actually, I heard on the way home today that unemployment has now hit 6%! And Bush is responsible for that because...? Presidents don't create or destroy jobs, businesses do.

Actually, I heard on the way home today that unemployment has now hit 6%! And Bush is responsible for that because...? Presidents don't create or destroy jobs, businesses do. The number one reason the economy is in the shape it's in is the irresponsible behavior of the free market so your right but, starting with the president, a blind eye has been turned to that behavior because it was bought and paid for. Regan brought down a wall in another country, Bush could have brought down the huge money wall big oil has created in his own country. A wall that has been created off the misery of others. He didn't! One thing he did do was something the Dems could only dream of, take drastic steps to put peoples personal lives under government scrutiny. Set a dangerous and destructive president the likes of which I could have only believed would happen under a Clinton type. The very thing that was attacked, freedom was not protected. In the name of fear it was ruled void. There are some things freedom demands and one is that it be open to 9/11's. It's the price of freedom. It's worth it! Let'm take it by force, not given away from fear. As far as I can see both the health care industry and big oil are in for a colonoscopy, and they did it to themselves. The government headed by the new president will be dong the probing. Sooo according to the view above any future repricutions of said probing such as job losses can't be blamed on the new cap i tan of the ship. The government bears no blame? Pleeeze. The Dems are to be blamed but the President isn't? Was Clinton to blame? Would the new Clinton have been to blame? Why were the Republican booted out as the majority? I'll give you a hint, they were fired by their own people and the new crop should be too. It's a republican party in name only and the farther things swing in one direction the hard it's going to be when it swings back. I say hit the breaks. What's the advise when your lost, stay put. I say stay put. I'm not bending anymore. The takers of the republican party have chosen McPalin as the takers of Grants administration chose him the third time to let the good times continue to role. I hope the out comes the same.
