Was talking to a farmer about shooting some pigeons for him. Has anyone heard of people eating them?

I have eaten them before, the meat is really pretty good, it is all really dark meat. The ones that I ate came out of our barn, I wouldn't eat one from town on a bet, don't know what they are eating.

I shoot and eat country pigeons right along with doves. They taste just like doves only bigger!
