My 9 year old Son and I hit a wheat field and left after 15 minutes of realizing the birds were not there anymore and went to our backup spot which I didn't have much hope in. We ended up with just four birds. He was able to shoot his first bird out of the air so that was exciting. Glad we didn't go to a draw hunt with those temps. Things should pick up for us as one of our fields is getting harvested today.

Congrats to your son. I just wish these temps would drop by about 20 degrees or so.

3 of use tagged out Monday sitting over my wheat field. Have not been back out again yet. I walked back to the field last night and there were probably 40-50 birds that took off.

Looking forward to tomorrow morning. Hunting a field that they started cutting this week. I have really enjoyed dove hunting recently due to hunting with my 9 year old Son.
