I'm thinking about get a few guys together for a guided hunt , either later this year or early next. I'm looking for any sugguestions or anyone that would be interested in getting together for a hunt. I'm leaning more towards Hogs or Turkeys.
Thanks,

I'd have a hard time paying to hunt deer.
I have a hunter7x slam I'm going to try for. A turkey in every state that has em. Might have to pay for some of those hunts.

A lot of those places in Texas include varmints and some will let you take bobcats as well. I would say for a group to get together and go hunting I would go for a hog hunt.

From the list I'd try for a hog. I did that with a group of friends 30 years ago and had a great time; however, I'd sure like to try caribou hunting one of these days. Sadly, I know it's going to cost a lot more than $1,000. Maybe someday when the kids are out of college.

Hogs get my vote. I shot one with a recurve many years ago in PA, basically a canned hunt. It wasn't a terrible setup, but I have no interest in doing that again. I want to hunt them in a fair chase situation, with a guide that gives me some basic info. on where to find them and then lets me take it from there.

Ive killed with a bow probably 20-25 hogs in Florida the last 7 years or so and its a real fun hunt. All I have to pay is airfare, food and the rest is free. My friends there invited me back again this Jan or Feb but I haven't decided yet if I will go. Hog hunting is additive! h.h.

I voted for the upland birds. Pheasants out west would be nice or quail in the south.

Deer would probably be my first choice but since you are leaning toward hogs I would suggest doing a hog/javelina combo at the Y Bar Ranch in South Texas. My friend and I are considering booking a hunt with them if we do not have any luck in the Texas Public Hunting lottery. www.ybarranch.com/hunting%20packages.htm
