Illinois has sent proposed waterfowl season dates to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for approval: Early Teal, Sept. 1-16, limit four teal daily with eight in possession; Early Canada Goose, Sept. 1-15, limit for the Northeast, North and Central Zones five daily with 10 in possession, for the rest of the state two with four in possession; regular duck seasons are North Zone, Oct. 18-Dec. 16, Central Zone, Oct. 25-Dec. 23, South Zone, Nov. 27-Jan.25.
Proposed regular goose seasons for Canadas, white-fronts and snows in the North Zone are Oct. 18-Jan. 10, Central Zone Oct. 25-Nov. 9, and Nov. 24-Jan. 31, South Zone Nov. 27-Jan. 31.
Note that proposed Illinois duck season lengths are based on a 60-day season that the USFWS could change, affecting dates and bag limits.
