Well I figured I would jump into the world of carbon or whatever it is now....Been shooting big fat alum easton arrows for the last 18 years. Needless to say I have no clue as to what to look for in carbon arrows.
I shoot a Martin Altitude at around 65#, it is a very short bow. Been shooting 125 grain fixed broad head. Any adivce as to what I should be looking for in an arrow.
Thanks!

I would say something in the 300 range.... as far as brand goes that is just going to be personal preference you will get several suggestions on here for different brands.... I personally shoot radial x-weave 300's.... you can get them for $70 a dozen at our local archery shop.... as far as carbon arrows go that is a good price for a decent arrow.

I'm shooting about the same as you are and two arrows that I really like are the Radial X Weave 300 Predators and the Gold Tip XT 5575's. The Gold Tips with the blazer vanes seem to be holding up the best through my whisker biscuit.

I second the Gold Tips. I saw them yesterday at Big R store for 35.00 1/2 dozen. Once you shoot carbon arrows you wont go back to aluminum. h.h.

I have had good luck with Gold tips, Carbon Express, and PSE brand shafts.
Regardless of brand, be sure to run them across rollers to double check the straightness. For all their good qualities, they have a much greater tendency to be crooked.

I have been a Easton and Carbon Express fan for years and have to say that the Blackhawk Vapor Pro hunters are a great arrow and my new arrow of choice, I got a 1/2 doz on ebay brand new for $29,, checked the straightness specs and was surprised at the .002,, after setting them up and shooting am hooked.
