In one of your answers to beaver hunting while trapping season is in. You stated that you can do so. My question is. Is it legal to shoot them in the water as long as you do it from the bank? Also on hunting furbearers from a boat. Is it legal to do so by using oars as a power source. Such as floating a river and shining for raccoons, or are you saying that no furbearer can be hunted from a boat period? Thanks for your time and service

As far as hunting furbearers from a boat, the law does not differentiate between a motorboat and a boat propelled by hand/oar/paddle power. No furbearer can be hunted from a boat, period. Yes, you can shoot them in the water as long as you are doing so from the shore or while standing in the water.
