I just moved down to the Lafayette area last fall. I live in Dayton, right off of 65. Any one know of any fields around here that I can hunt some geese on this fall. Im not lazy, I just dont have that much time this year to scout,14 hour days are killin me. I have some buddies that river hunt, so we could maybe do some work if needed. Please let me know.

Not being a smart a** but I really don't thing your going to get many offers if any for guys to give you fields to hunt. You may have had a better chance of asking for someone to take you a couple times. I do allot of driving and knocking on doors, today about a total of 100 miles because I went back to the owners house three times until I caught him at home. This is just a start of my permission gathering. I almost never call the property owner because I want them to meet me face to face. Good luck but I do believe you'll be better off taking an hour or so to knock on a few doors if your wanting to hunt this fall.

Thats kind of what I meant. I did not try to come across as someone just giving their spots up. I would be willing to tag along or if someone had a field that no one was hunting I would like to hunt, of couse I would give something up in return. I have this website that has the farmers names but so far it has not been very accurate. Again I just want to kill some birds. just like everyone else

Best advice for accurate landowners is to get a County Plat book..... mine is marked all up with highlighter marks of land I have permission for, red lines around land that I've asked and was denied, etc... You just gotta knock on some doors to get results.
